Before I had children, I reached a high point in my ringing career. Then I had children and I didn’t ring so much. Between childcare and work, I didn’t particularly want to commit to going out regularly in the evenings. I’ve always felt that I needed to go to at least two practices a week to improve. In the last few years, as the children are older, I have made time for that. I’ve really enjoyed getting back to where I was, plus learning some new skills along the way, 17 years later! I've been lucky that though I've said 'not at the moment' to opportunities over the years, I've been asked again when I was ready to say yes.
